Recently, I was visiting on a cloudy day and just before leaving a gap in the clouds allowed the sun to illuminate the famous Haystack Rock off Cannon Beach. I captured this photograph using a new technique I was trialing by using a circular neutral density filter to allow me to slow down the shutter speed. Using the filter allowed me to open the aperture for more detail, shoot at a lower speed for saturation and maintain a low ISO. This 50 MGB file allows me to print large prints with astonishing detail.
On the asthethic side, I love the moody light with the blue tinge in the water reminding you this a cold day !
